Generosity Toasts

I propose that we honor our guest with a toast, for our guest has been truly generous, and, as Calvin Coolidge said, "No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave.

I've traveled many a highway I've walked for many a mile.
Here's to the people who made my day
To the people who waved and smiled.

To our benefactor, whose recent generosity has confirmed what we have long suspected-that he is a remarkable person

Lift 'em high and drain 'em dry
To the guy who says,
"My turn to buy!"

May we strengthen the weak,
Give light to the blind,
Clothe the naked,
And be friends to mankind.

"To all, to each, a fair good night,
And pleasant dreams and slumbers light."
-Sir Walter Scott
